“Someone thought about me. Me?!”

Sometimes we all need a pick me up.  A smile.  A laugh, even.  We all know what it feels like when nothing seems it’s going your way.  When we got this anonymous nomination about Dianne, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to brighten her day just a bit.

Here is what Dianne’s nominator told us about her:
“Dianne is a professor who according to her students and peers, an absolutely fantastic educator.  She’s a young, single mom to a beautiful 15 year old daughter.  She’s a crossfitter and has a wicked cool fashion sense.  And she’s all-around a pretty fabulous person.”

Dianne’s nominator told us she’s had a rough few weeks with a move, some of life’s stressors and capped off by her father being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (a disease close to our hearts at TSP).
Sometimes, you just need something that will make you smile, something to let you know, it’s not all bad.  That things are going to get better.  We sent Dianne a gift card so she can treat herself to dinner at a favorite restaurant in Indianapolis.
Here’s the email we got from Dianne after she got her sussy:

“Thank you so much.  I had no idea what it was at first.  So, I looked it up…and cried.  I have no idea who sent it, but it was very touching.  I have been dealing with a difficult diagnosis for my dad, moving, and other life stressors.  It was lovely that someone thought about me.  Me?  It made me pause and realize that I am a lucky lucky lucky girl.  Love really IS all you need.
I have considered quizzing my friends one by one to find the culprit! :)
Thank you so much for your wonderful organization.”

So glad we could surprise you with kindness Dianne.  Here’s to dinner at your favorite restaurant and a smile on an otherwise ordinary day.
