The best part about sussying is being about to make someone’s day or days or even hour better. To let them know that someone was thinknig about them and bring a smile to their face. We received this nomination from Carrie:
My brother CJ is 31 and my sister Amanda is 28. Mentally, they are much younger. They live in a house that they rent and have staff that stays with them. They do not have much and so they do not get to do a lot– they barely get by month to month. They each have a cat that they adore. Growing up and still today they do not really have any friends. Kids and even adults have not been kind to them (going as far as to set up a fake myspace page about my brother, pics and all). I want them to be able to experience things like the rest of us, but they cannot. If I could give them part of me and make them better, I would in a heartbeat!
I am not sure what else to really say, I have never nominated anyone before. Just trying to type this made me cry!
This nomination broke my heart – the fact that CJ and Amanda don’t get to experience all of the things that so many of us take for granted…..we wanted to give them something that would make their day and let Carrie know that they had a few minutes to feel special. So for the sussy, we decided to send them the movie “The Lorax,” some candy and goodies. Good movie, great snacks? It’s movie day in a box.
