Flowers for Jasmine

Have you ever thought about how you personally would handle a medical diagnosis that would change your life?  Do you feel it would make you bitter or better?  Until you are faced with something like this, I am not sure many of us know. There was one man, Nicholas Wolber, who chose better and left beautiful footprints to follow even after he was gone.  His sister is now the one who continues to walk in these same footprints and leave unprecedented kindness and generosity to other individuals who are struggling with cancer.  We received the following nomination from Megan and it could not be more deserved.

 Hello Sussy Project!

I would like to nominate my sister in-law Jasmine Wolber. Today would have been her beloved brother’s 30th birthday. Her brother died last year from cancer at the age of 29. He bravely fought for years to overcome his illness and never lost his faith and sense of humor despite what was going on in his life. Before he died, he selflessly started a charity to help other people who are battling cancer pay for their treatments. After his death, his sister took on overseeing the charity. She dedicates herself tirelessly to helping others and I think a sussy would really cheer her up on this sad day.

Here are a few links to the charity and facebook organization:

I would love to nominate her for a Sussy and make her day a little brighter.

Please let me know if you need more information from me.

 Thank you!

Megan O’Keefe

We couldn’t have been more thrilled to send her a Sussy to help brighten up this sad time of year for Jasmine!  Every woman knows how endearing it is to receive flowers and get to enjoy their smell and particular beauty.  Every bouquet is completely different and women always remember their unique look and smell and how it was the perfect choice at that moment in their life. Jasmine received the bouquet shortly after her late beloved brother’s 30th birthday.

Megan let us know she was shocked to receive them and she thought they had been delivered to her by mistake but was overjoyed when she realized they were for her! Also, the flowers were pink and yellow which are the colors of Support The Kid and she loved that special touch!  She let us know Jasmine and Support The Kid had just held one of their most successful fundraising events in honor of his birthday.  Jasmine’s true colors showed through as she worked tirelessly to make sure it was a success even in this very difficult time. The organization has now been able to help 12 children and their families with funding their cancer treatments!  Her dedication and hard work is undeniably the cornerstone.

Jasmine and her flowers!

We received this from Jasmine:
Thank you so much, I took a look at your website and I think it is a wonderful thing that you guys are doing! I feel so honored to be chosen by you and feel so undeserving. At Support the Kid, we meet so many families going through such hard struggles, and the little help that we can give them is an honor. It was such a delight to receive such a thoughtful gift!! I think it’s really a great thing to spread the love and keep on the idea of helping others!! Again thank you so much for choosing me! The flowers are still sitting on my kitchen table looking beautiful and brightening up my days!

Sincerely,
Jasmine

YOU are the one to thank, Jasmine as you continue to touch the lives of others and keep your brother’s memory, strength, and positivity during such a difficult time at the fore front of selflessly giving back.
